One of the ways I make your wedding easier for you to plan is by keeping my prices affordable and using a standard play time
based on experience, rather than making you think the price is lower than what you will pay. I keep my prices affordable by keeping overhead low and working alone. In addition, most DJ's use a four hour standard for pricing, but that is too short. The average length of the hundreds of wedding receptions I have played over the last twenty years is around six hours from guest arrival to last song. (Summer weddings with earlier start times usually last an hour longer on average.) Over 90% of the weddings I have played over the last twenty years plus have been less than seven hours from guest arrival to last song.
Based on that, I include six hours of playing time in my base package prices. For most weddings, this will be all that is needed. There are no additonal fees like "setup" or travel costs. (Although, if travel time will exceed one hour, I may ask for a $25 surcharge, but that will be made plain to you "up front" if it occurs.)
The only difference between the Standard and Club packages below is lighting options. Some couples prefer the "club" atmosphere od the Club package. Others do not put an emphasis on lighting, and prefer the increased affordability of the Standard lighting. Over the course of the most recent year, about 2/3 of couples chose the Standard lighting package.
